so you want to be a teacher?!?

Monday: No kids in the classroom because of the holiday. Amy and friends go to Flagstaff, I go to classroom to get caught up on some extra work. I began working at 10:00 a.m. thinking I would be home soon and play some video games...at 8:00 p.m. I make it home right before Amy. Time spent in classroom...10 hours

Tuesday: Kids for the rest of the week. Amy goes home sick from the cold that my kids gave her. I get to stay in the classroom until 6:30, getting ready for the next day...which I thought I had done on Monday. Brought work home to grade! Time spent in classroom....10 1/2 hours.

Wednesday: Meeting I forgot about, but that's ok. Had to take down the science fair and lost time getting work done anyway. Take down science fair, begin grading papers, stay in classroom to do online class for the meeting, go to meeting, get home at 8:30. Brought work home to grade! Time spent in classroom.....12 1/2 hours.

Thursday: After-school tutoring until 4:30, from 4:30-5:00 realized that I wasn't ready to start my new program. Amy picked me up at 5:00, after survivor I went back to the classroom. Got back home at midnight. Time spent in the classroom.....13 hours.

Friday: Came home with a lot of work to grade, determined not to go back to the classroom for more than an hour on the weekend. Time spent in the classroom....9 hours.

Amount of time the school required me to be at the school this week: 32 hours!
Time spent at school this week: 55 hours!
Amount of "Overtime": 23 hours! (Worth $345)
"Overtime" paid:
